March: National PROBUS Month

The first PROBUS Club to be certified in Canada was the PROBUS Club of Cambridge, Ontario, on the 17th of March 1987.

To commemorate this event PROBUS Canada approved the idea of a National PROBUS Month. March has been  declared nationally to celebrate PROBUS, enrich its meaning among members, and enhance its recognition and visibility throughout each community; that recognition and visibility will be enhanced municipally, provincially, and nationally.

The idea is for each club to dedicate its regular meeting, or part thereof, of the designated month, March, to celebrating PROBUS, to increase awareness, and enrich the PROBUS experience.

The Social Chair and her team organizes this event.
