MARCH
Tour of the Redpath Sugar Museum meet at 9:15, Tuesday 31 March
Tour would start at 10:30 a.m. and go to noon approximately. Learn about the origins of sugar cane & its use in the ancient & modern world, as well as the technology of sugar refining.
Transport will be by bus to downtown Toronto. The bus will leave RioCan (Burloak/Wyecroft) Plaza, in front of 'Swiss Chalet' at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The museum has bus parking only.
On our return, and if you choose, lunch will be available at the Swiss Chalet.
Redpath sugar may not continue these tours, so you might want to do it while its available.
Price $20 for the bus.
APRIL
Cheese & Wine Pairings at Longo’s 12:30 – 2 p.m. Monday 6 April
Location Longo’s Cornwall store. Maximum 20 people.
This was so well received last November that we are repeating the event!
Be an informed host(ess)—just in time for Easter learn what cheeses go with various wines. Longo’s does a great job putting together cheeses with suitable wines.
Price $25.

Murder Mystery Dinner, Aberfoyle Mill 6:30 p.m. Friday 24 April FULL

Location is 80 Brock Road south, Puslinch. Dinner includes appetizer, soup, salad, main, dessert & coffee.
Throughout the meal the entertainers with the help of the diners, act out a play, during which there is a murder. The audience is then challenged to determine the method, the motivation and the perpetrator of the crime.
Price $85.
MAY
Hamilton Steam & Technology Museum 10:00a.m. Monday 25 May
Location 900 Woodward Ave. Hamilton
This is an industrial water works structure built in the Victorian style, and a rare example of such a structure in Canada to be "architecturally and functionally largely intact" As well, the building's exterior has been featured in the television show Murdoch Mysteries as the setting for the Toronto morgue.
We have a private tour arranged for between 10 - 11 a.m. The tour will be followed by lunch at Kings Buffet at 200 Centennial Pkwy North near Barton and Hwy 20.
Price $6 pp (Note that the museum has cautioned that there are many stairs.)

Location is the Lighthouse Theatre in Port Dover. Lunch location is now Erie Beach Hotel with better prices and the advantage of close walking distance to the theatre. Lunch choices will be pickerel and fries or chicken with fries
